Looped is an app and website, made by Lacuna Technology ("we"), that golf clubs use to offer bags (rounds) to their caddies. This policy explains what it collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: info@loopedin.ie.
What we collect
Your account. Your email address and, if you sign in with a password, that password (stored by our sign-in provider, never by us in readable form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and profile photo from Google.
Your place on a club's caddie list. A golf club adds you by entering your name, email address and experience level. Your account is matched to that entry by email address the first time you sign in. We also record whether you have signed in and whether the club has paused you.
Your availability. The hours you say you can caddie each week at each club, and whether you have marked yourself as always available there.
Your bags. The bags you are offered and whether you accept, decline or let them lapse; the bags you confirm; and, if you cancel a confirmed bag, the reason you choose to give.
Payments. If your club charges a fee to accept a bag, the payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep a reference to the payment so it can be confirmed or refunded.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a token that identifies your phone to Google's notification service, so we can tell you when you're offered a bag.
Club admins. If you run a club on Looped, we hold your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name.
We don't collect your location, contacts or photos. The app has no advertising and no analytics or tracking.
Why
- To run the service: letting your club offer you bags that suit your level and availability, and letting you accept, decline or cancel them.
- To take and refund fees.
- To send the notifications you've allowed.
Our legal basis is performing our agreement with you and with your club (running the service), and your consent for notifications, which you can turn off in your phone's settings.
Who sees it
Your club's admins can see your name, email address, level, availability, the bags you've been offered and taken at their club, and any reason you give when cancelling. They can't see what you do at other clubs.
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. It is processed for us by:
- Supabase: sign-in and the database. Data is stored in the EU (Ireland).
- Google: sign-in, if you choose Google, and delivery of notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Stripe: payments, only where a club charges a fee.
How long we keep it
Your account and your place on a club's caddie list are kept until you delete your account or the club removes you. When you delete your account in the app it happens straight away; if you ask us by email, we do it within 30 days.
Each club chooses how long records of bags, availability and cancellation notices are kept: indefinitely, or deleted automatically after 3, 6, 12 or 24 months. When a club removes you from its list, your availability there is deleted straight away and your past bags at that club no longer show your name. Payment records are kept by Stripe for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can see and change your availability in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or to restrict or object to how we use it, by emailing info@loopedin.ie.
To delete your account: in the app, Profile → Delete account, or see Delete your account. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Children
Looped is for caddies who have been added by their golf club. It isn't intended for children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
